Do you want to learn how to produce a better slide show by establishing a good design and production outline? Clif will share some do’s and don’ts for creating a show that everyone will enjoy. He will explain the importance of utilizing an introduction, body and conclusion in the sequence of your show. Beginners to experienced photographers will gain a better understanding of the design of a slide show.

Tuesdays – February 7 – 28th (4 classes) – 1:00 – 4:00pm – Digital Scrapbooking using Elements 9 – (Beg – All Levels) – Hands on Multi Class $20
Learn how to create digital scrapbook pages using layers, quick pages and your own photos with Photoshop Elements 9. Introduction and overview for resizing photos, how to crop photos, creating layers, saving your photos and more. You will be sent a file to download before class to your own flash drive, which will contain masks, embellishments and a “quick page.” A handout with several websites that offer free digital scrapbooking items will be given to each person attending, along with suggestions for websites for digital scrapbookers.

Thursday & Friday – February 9th & 10th – 1:00 – 3:00pm – Levels & Masks using Elements 9 – (Int. Level) – Hands on Multi Class $20
Learn a routine process for tweaking and manipulating photos using Levels and Masks in Elements 9. The process is adaptable through Elements 7. Class photos will be provided on each club computer. Guided instructions for class example will be provided in the handout. Instructions are just for manipulation processes, how the final product should look is up to the judgment of each individual.

In this workshop you will explore your camera and functions, learn tips and tricks about how to use it to get the best video pictures that will be enjoyed by your audience. Tips and Tricks for taking video with your DSLRs and advanced Point & Shoot cameras will be included.

Topics include: What to look for in a landscape. Tools, what and why. Depth of field and the affects. Foregrounds, what and why. Backgrounds, what and why. Landscape composition. Time of day, why it matters. Sky vs. Land. Wide angle and telephoto, when and why. Pano shots, how to take and how to process.

If you are just getting started with photo editing or considering purchasing Elements – this is the class for you.

This workshop is for those of you who like to take time to “smell the roses” as well as photograph them. Learn how to take those close-up, detailed pictures. Discuss equipment, technique, subject matter and more. Students must own and have a working knowledge of a DSLR or SLR camera.

Learn how to mount your photos using the Photo Lab’s mounting press. Also – learn how to use the Fletcher 2100 Mat Cutter to cut single and double mats.

Thursdays – March 8th – April 12th 2012 (6 modules) – 9:00am – 12 noon - PowerDirector 9 – Slide and Movie Show Editing – Hands-on Multi Class $20
This workshop is 'hands-on' and will be modular in format and will run for six consecutive weeks starting March 8th, 2012. Full details of the contents of each module are available for viewing in the Photo Lab workshop registration book. Attendance at all modules is not required but strongly urged, since the material being covered often relies on material covered in former modules.
Learn how to create a viewable DVD using this powerful yet relatively inexpensive software program. The software manual will be provided in digital format and each topic will be reviewed, discussed and practiced in class or as a “homework” assignment. Both video clips and still shots will be incorporated into your final product.
