BODIE STATE HISTORIC PARK
After a stop to pick up our box lunches, we made our way to Bodie. Bodie is a town so lawless that in 1881 it was described as “...a sea of sin, lashed by the tempests of lust and passion.” Bodie faded into a ghost town during the 1940’s. In 1962, the town and its remaining buildings were designated a State Historic Park and a National Historic Landmark.
